Paints Pens-N-Pencils

Pseudo chalk board lettering inspiration from Andrea Joseph's class in Sketchbook Skool, "Creative Lettering". Its colored pencil. Less messy and will last longer.

This year my family decided to make Valentine's cards instead of buying them. I used my collection of art supplies and went to work. These are the two I made.  Creating the cards made this special occasion even more special.

Playing with fonts in the new class "Expressing". Koosje Koene is teaching the first lesson and it is  all about typography. I made my own letters and got creative with the background to distract from the mistakes!

The past few months and through the holidays, I have only been able to sketch in small increments of time. I thought it would be a good time to try some zentangle. You can work on small sections any time and for any length of time. Which was convenient since, I only had a few minutes to spare here and there. The next Sketchbook Skool Klass,"Expressing" has started, and I am ready to get back to sketching more faithfully. And posting. A Halloween Zentangle starting with a stamp in the middle and colored with color pencils. I found that if I am stuck trying to start a page or come up with an idea, a stamp can aid in getting you started. Stamp whatever you have and let it launch your imagination.

Not tea cups like Liz Steel draws, but great practice in finding and losing edges.
